I Purchased my first stud cow Emu Hills Cath S724 for $900 from the Emu Hills dispersal sale at the age of 14. At the time i had a junior membership and was trading under my father's stud prefix Echo Park Herefords, which i continued to do so until 2006, when i registered my own stud Battalion Herefords. Over the years i increased my herd with further stud dispersal purchases of Moorlands Cherry Ripe W155, Courallie Constance V086, Courallie Princess Christian Y312 and Smithston Silky Z231. Some of these cows and their progeny became the base of which i increased the herd by flushing to some of the leading sires at that time and transferring the eggs into some of our commercial herd.
Since the establishment of the stud i have sold bulls at the Gloucester, Casino, Glen Innes and Wodonga Sales as well as out of the paddock. In recent years the stud has seen both show ring and sale success including:

My wife Kylie, my son Travis, daughter Grace and I now reside at the 4th generation family property "Wattle Dale" in Dundee NSW. We manage our small stud in conjunction with my father's stud Dundee Echo Park Herefords, meaning that we have access to the same stud sires. We have since purchased Dunoon First Day E094 and Dunoon Prudence Z211 at the Dunoon dispersal sale in late 2013. At the Injemira female dispersal we purchased Injemira Pearl F137 for the 2nd top price of $6000 in 2014.
Whenever possible we like to top up our female line with the best genetics available at female dispersal sales to get outcross pedigrees and keep improving our herd. In keeping with this in 2016 we purchased shares in Franco Corisande E801 from Franco Herefords and purchased Courallie Monica J541 for $8000 from the Courallie dispersal sale. 2016 saw some more new arrivals with the purchase of Bowmont Queen H024 $5000, Bowmont Queen H043 $5500 and Bowmont Queen F024 for $3000.
In recent years we now also pride ourselves on the production of some top quality Battalion bred females who are beginning to prove themselves through the success of their progeny in the show and sale rings. Battalion Herefords is not a hobby for us, it is a business and our main source of income, resulting in us being extremely passionate about what we do. We are 100% devoted to breeding stock that continue to perform at the elite end of the industry. We heavily reinvest into our stud to maintain progress and are forever trying to be moving forward and will never be content sitting still.
